Share projects and assign roles

Configure link access, member roles, Viewer export, and creative identities without confusing them.

Every project has a stable share link. There is no separate “enable link” switch. The owner controls what that link allows through one of three access modes:

  • Anyone Can View
  • Anyone Can Edit
  • Invited Only

Anyone Can Edit and Invited Only can require an eligible membership. The interface and backend enforce the current plan rule.

Member roles control authority

  • OWNER: full project and access control.
  • ADMIN: can manage ordinary members, but cannot change the owner, peer admins, or access mode.
  • EDITOR: can edit project content.
  • VIEWER: can read and participate where view-only collaboration is supported, but cannot write the creative document.

Only the owner can change access mode and decide whether Viewers may export. Permission checks fail closed: an unknown or unresolved role is treated as read-only.

Creative identity is separate

Members may choose a visible craft identity such as director, writer, or producer. This describes how they participate; it does not grant permissions. A Viewer labeled “Director” remains read-only, and an Editor labeled “Guest” remains an editor.

Add and manage members

Owners and admins can search for users and add them, normally as Editors, then change ordinary members between Editor and Viewer or remove them. Members can update their own creative identity. Presence indicators show activity but do not change role.

Review access mode, member list, and Viewer export before sharing a project outside the core team. Do not rely on the craft label or copied URL alone to infer authority.
